My difficult journey of life has brought me here to cleanse my body, mind, soul, and spirit. With the guidance of the Creator, I will begin to live and heal in wellness with all creations once again.
The History of Migisi Alcohol & Drug Treatment Centre
Our centre officially opened in July of 1989. The mission of Migisi has been to guide and support anishinaabe people in their journey in a holistic way. Migisi Alcohol & Drug Treatment Centre is a 14 bed facility, located on the lakefront of Matheson Bay on Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation Near Kenora, Ontario. Our facility is also equipped with handicap accessibility. Migisi is funded by Health & Welfare Canada/National Native Alcohol & Drug Abuse Program (NNADAP).
